This is all the fault of my University education.
I was a member of the Durham University
Assassins Society and needed some weaponry for the games. It all got
a bit out of hand though. All the pictures are of my guns on top of the same box so you can see the relative sizes of them.
Supersoakers
-
Classic 50. A basic gun based on the same design
as the first generation Supersoakers, lightweight and feels a bit flimsy
but it has held together. Not bad range but little stream and takes ages
to pump.

-
XP-70. Similar size to the 50 but much better put
together. A proper valve to trigger the water stream and a pressure chamber
so it pumps up much faster than the 50. A bigger water stream too though
it is badly balanced and uncomfortable to hold when full.

-
XP-20. A lovely little gun. Similar water stream
to the 50 but shorter range but it's half the size. Pumps up quickly because
of the small water chamber. The only problem is the small handle isn't
very comfortable.

-
CPS 2500. Big daddy gun. It looks like something
out of Starship Troopers (well it would if painted black all over) and
hold 6 pints of water. Takes an age to pump and discharges very fast. Can
kick out about a pint in one garden hose like blast though. Has three nozzle
sizes for big blast, silly blast or dump the pressure instantly. Very silly,
heavy, and funny. Me like. :)
Nerf Guns
-
Lock n' Load. A neat little plunger type gun. Fires
the standard Nerf darts one at a time by a spring loaded plunger that is
pulled back to cock it. The gun comes with a large yellow cowling on the
top which is pulled back to cock it. I have removed this which makes the
gun smaller and fire slightly better.

-
Eagle Eye. Works in a similar fashion to the Lock
n Load but with a handle on the side cocking mechanism. It is a gimmick
gun with a "laser sight" provided by a light bulb and a red lens. Slightly
inferior to the Lock n Load and much bulkier. Sight can be useful if you
are in the dark.

-
Supermaxx 1500. An air powered gun. Has four manually
rotated barrels and takes 3 pumps for each shot. Robust, quick to fire
and the longest ranged toy gun I have seen (when used with non standard
Larami darts pictured next to the gun).
