A misplaced "rm" command has left this website largely empty and me asking the question "what do I want a website for?" Clearly I need a web presence professionally and there are personal things which a website is useful for, but rather than simply restore an old site from backups I am re-considering my whole use of the web.

Presently reconstructed we have:

• Professional Information and my CV.
• Alida's Memoirs, my grandmother's memoirs from the Nazi Occupation of the Netherlands.
• Talks and Presentations: slides from presentations I have given on various occasions.
• Rants and Essays, where I pontificate on what is on my mind at any given point.
• Pictures and People where a small selection of my photos (mostly Go-related) hide.
