About the Editor
Paul Leake has been representing students throughout post-16 education,
from his Sixth Form, to St. John's College JCR and Durham Students' Union, to
the NUS National Council. Paul has twice been a candidate for NUS National
Secretary where he hoped to use his experience on the National to improve
support for the people the Student Union movement depends on, but who are too
often ignored by NUS, non-sabbatical officers in both further and higher
education, course reps and Union Committee and Council members and
single-issue campaigners - ordinary students working hard to ensure that the
student voice is heard.
