Issues in NUS

NUS should work the needs of students on a wide range of issues, it should acts as our mouthpiece to Government, it should provide support for our Unions and it should empower our campaigning. All too often it doesn't. I take democracy seriously - Conference should make the decisions, and the National Executive should implement them. I want to build an active, open and democratic Union, that can transform the policy motions passed at Conference into real action - something that will make things better for students. This is how I'd do it....

The Liberal Democrat Youth and Students who are supporting Paul's election campaign have policies on a range of issues that affect and interest students. Policy is decided by Conference, which any member can vote in. For more information on the policy of LDYS, visit the LDYS website.
